Nail Polish

Not only do I love the colors but the names!
Orly Pink Whisper-gorgeous China Glaze Limbo Bimbo-bright pink China Glaze Tempest-metallic blue Orly Red Flare-hooker red Avon Midnight Plum-deep purple Avon Warm Black
Gave three to my friend SF. Brought a bit of a sniffle, sad to see them go. I am glad they will be enjoyed by someone else-or am I? A bit of guilt because those chemicals are not good for her either (or anyone for that matter). Should I throw them away? Toxic waste pick-up/dump them-how do you find those by the way? I still have them down in my basement waiting for their final resting place.

Sometimes getting rid of these products literally is just as hard as giving them up emotionally.
Goodbye colors, hello au natural!!

  1. C,

To get rid of the polish in the “greenest” way possible, you have to catch one of the hazardous household waste collection days. The county usually sponsors a couple a year. Try getting a hold of the Madison County EPA to find out when the next one is.

P.S. It's also a chance to get rid of any cleaning chemicals or other nasty stuff you're not going to use anymore.
