Sunscreen

Hurray for Summer!

But wait! Are you going to be out in the sun for an extended period of time? Do you (or someone you love) have sensitive or pale as snow skin? Then before stepping out, be sure to whip up some sunscreen for protection from the rays. This recipe only requires 3 ingredients-olive oil, beeswax and water. Whip it up (I used a stick blender) and add Zinc Oxide.

TaDa! Your very own handcrafted sunscreen! Too easy. Now if only getting the kiddos to listen at the water fun time place was so easy…

Also Remember:

Clothing can be a great sun barrier-hats and long sleeve rash guard shirts are fantastic

Protect! Prevent! Preemptive Action!

Zinc oxide is also the active ingredient in most diaper rash ointments/creams. Rub this on a sore bum too. I luv products that have multiple uses.

Now what to do with the water-logged swim diaper…
