December 5Five things you do not want to forget from 2013? List out 5 things you do not want to forget from this past year, and write a bit about why you do not wish to forget… – – – – –

1. That all good things come from hard work and pain.

Birth of a babe.  Being the best me. Standing up for my decisions and choices. Choosing greatness. Blood, sweat, tears. Beauty, wonder, miracles.

2.  Saying yes to one things means saying no to lots of other things.

I can’t say yes to everything. I can’t be all things to all people. I have to say no. Disconnect. Unplug. Set boundaries. See #1

3. Priorities need to be set and constantly upheld

Just because I say something is important one time does NOT mean the world is going to bend to make it easy to make it so. sigh. See #1.

4. Sleep matters. A lot.

Can’t cheat Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Just learned sex is as important as breathing. Hmmm….Happy thought!

5.  Just because I say no right now does not mean no forever

This season I am in (of Littles running the asylum) is temporary. Everything is temporary. No today could be a yes tomorrow. Or not. See #2.

Amazing how all of these things tie in to one another and are so simple and basic and yet so not easy…sigh. See #1!  🙂

December 6What was your favourite gift given and/or received in 2013 Who was the recipient, who was the giver? What was it for (an event, holiday or just because)? Was the gift tangible or something else (i.e. support in a hard situation or laughter when it was most needed)? – – – – –

Little N- I was the recipient, giver and part of the creation. He is most certainly tangible and a just because! Little Beast!!
